DeepMind MSc Neuroscience Scholarships

The Windsor Fellowship is working with University College London (UCL) to offer scholarships funded by DeepMind to students who will be undertaking the MSc Neuroscience at UCL for 2022/23, and who have an interest in AI. This MSc programme is heavily oversubscribed, therefore students interested in this scholarship are advised to apply as early as possible.

 

The DeepMind Scholarships are positive action initiatives to help UCL ensure that it can attract and support students from all sections of the community, particularly groups that are under-represented in post-graduate studies.

 

DeepMind Neuroscience Scholarships will cover tuition fees in full and provide a £16,000 maintenance stipend. Additionally, £2,000 is provided to cover attendance at relevant academic conferences (either in person or virtually). A further £1,500 is provided as an equipment grant.

 

 

Eligibility

The scholarships are available for UK (Home fee status) course applicants who will be undertaking the course on a full-time basis.

 

Candidates must be from at least one of the following under-represented groups within the MSc Neuroscience:

  1. Identify as British Black-African or British Black-Caribbean or Asian/Asian British: Pakistani

  2. From a household with an annual income of less than £25,000

 

How to Apply
  • You must have completed your application to the MSc Neuroscience (including ensuring references are uploaded) before applying for the scholarship separately.
  • Please click here to complete the scholarship application form and the Financial Information Document .  The closing date for applications is 18th July 2022 at 9am (BST) and all applicants will be updated on the outcome of their application by the end of September.
  • Windsor Fellowship will assess and shortlist the scholarship applications based on financial need and socio-economic background. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview (either in person or virtually) with the Windsor Fellowship.

  • Staff associated with the MSc Neuroscience will make the final selection from this shortlist. This will be based on candidates’ interest in, and knowledge of, neuroscience and AI, as determined by answers to the question on the application form.
