Graduate Engineering Engagement Programme (GEEP)

About GEEP

The Windsor Fellowship is delighted to be partnering again with The Royal Academy of Engineering to deliver their award-winning GEEP programme.

This UK-wide programme, now in its 8th year, aims to increase the transition of UK engineering graduates from diverse backgrounds and under-represented groups into engineering employment.

GEEP Partners commit to building a truly diverse engineering workforce across the UK. They are champions for equality, diversity and inclusion, not only through GEEP but in the policies, practice, outcomes, and advocacy embedded in their companies. GEEP 2022/23 Company Partners include:  Atelier Ten Ltd, Two Sigma, bp, Amey, Rolls-Royce, WSP, National Grid and chapmanbdsp.

The programme is also supported by the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK), the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) and the Engineering Council.

“Completing the GEEP program has encouraged me to apply to the Engineering Leaders Scholarship. I was successful in the application and have been awarded £5000 to spend on my personal development. GEEP has given me the confidence to go for opportunities. My Student liaison officer has really encouraged me and this has given me the confidence to put myself forward for applications. It has presented so many opportunities that have been really useful to my career. I have met lots of inspirational people and have built networks that I know share the same drive and ambition that I do!”

GEEP 2021/22 Graduate

By taking part in the GEEP program I was not only exposed to many different industries but was also shown the importance of networking and using tools available such as LinkedIn to my benefit.

What advice can you give to engineering undergraduate/ recent graduates considering registering for GEEP?

The advice I would give would be to go for it! This program has given me so much in terms of skills and I have also attended many interesting talks through the program on topics of interest. It’s a great opportunity for those who are eligible so I would strongly recommend registering.
